Below are laws and regulations on aviation security and related incidents

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority amended the Civil Aviation (Security) Regulations, 2015 to incorporate new and emerging needs and requirements as well as new requirements in Amendments 15 to 17 of Annex 17 to the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation.

The revised regulations were subjected to stakeholder comments during a meeting held at Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi on 15th January 2020. One hundred and thirty seven (137) persons from various entities within the aviation industry attended the forum and gave their comments on various sections of the regulations. The draft regulations that were presented to the stakeholders are provided below and the affected areas of the regulations are highlighted in red font for ease of reference. Areas highlighted in yellow shall be completed by the legal drafters during the final stages:
